PLEASE NOTE: Plants shipped in winter and early spring may arrive dormant. Deciduous perennials lose their leaves or foliage during winter and may appear "lifeless", but will burst out with new growth in spring!
Upright, rounded shrub with deep purple red leaves through the season. Lovely large plumes of tiny pinkish white flowers cover the tree midsummer. Attracts birds and butterflies. Rich red fall foliage. Deciduous. Prune hard in late winter for best vigor and form.

All of our plants are container grown and shipped with the soil and roots fully intact. We DO NOT ship your plants bare-root. Being shipped as a containered plant greatly reduces the risk of the plant not surviving the transit to your home.

All orders over $99 ship free. Orders under $99 ship for a flat rate of $14.95.
Do you guarantee your plants?
Yes. If, in the rare case your plants are damaged upon arrival, just contact us within 7 days and a full refund or exchange will be issued for those plants.

The hardiness zones that each plant will grow in are listed in the plant details section. Please make sure that the plants are rated for the zone you live in. If you don't know what zone you are in, please check the zone map and zip code lookup tool above to find out.
If I order now, can I delay shipping for sometime in the future?
Sure. After placing your order, just send us an email with your order number and the date you would like your order delivered.
We promise to only send you healthy, well rooted plants. If, in the rare case your plants are damaged upon arrival, or you are not completely satisfied, contact us at hello@thegreenhousepnw.com within 30 days of receiving your order, and we’ll take care of it.
If your plant(s) were damaged on arrival, we will send out replacements to you immediately at no extra charge to you.
If that plant is no longer in stock, or you prefer to not receive a replacement, we will issue full refund for any damaged plants.
In some cases, we may simply request a photo of the damaged plant to verify condition of plant before we process replacement or refund.

I was really surprise when I got my tree ! I have order from others and they would arrive no bigger then a small twig. my smoke tree was a nice size and looked very healthy !!

It came well packaged with plenty of moisture but rhetorical leaves looked very dry. I planted it, and then we got lots of rain. So far it has not grown much at all. Hopefully it will make if. I understand it likes dry weather, which it has not gotten so far.

poor condition
I emailed company as soon as I saw my plant. There had been a heat wave that took place during its shipping ,so this I'm sure contributed to its death. I requested a new plant or my money back and have yet to get a decision from company.Will I trust to order again from this company no probably not.

Royal Purple Smoke Tree
I was so impressed with the shipping and packaging of my new garden's gift, the Smoke Tree. It was wrapped as delicately as a new born baby in the hospital nursery. I followed your instructions for planting and have watered, and continue to water it each morning. It is beginning to thrive and I know it will be my favorite plant in the front garden. Just a stick
The “tree” was no more than a 12” stick. I found one locally which was 4 times the size and less than twice as much. Keep looking locally. It’s a much better option.

Small tree sent.
Plant ordered looked rough when package was
opened. Put soil back around plant. Soil was damp so that was good. It did perk up after being put outside. Not sure if I’ll plant it in the ground this year. May wait until it’s larger.
