Dwarf Fountain Grass, Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' looks like a spray of thick, dark green foliage sprouting gracefully from the ground. Compact and round, the stems elegantly arch on all sides giving this variety its 'fountain look.' Fuzzy flower heads form above the spray in summer, and look like charming, wheat colored, bottle brushes. Growing up to 3' tall, a single or group of plants will make a nice accent in small beds and rock gardens. For bigger areas, plant Dwarf Fountain Grass in mass where it will add structure and beauty to the landscape in every season.

Fuzzy foxtail flower heads bloom in summer
Charming bottlebrush-shaped light tan blooms form above the spray, decorating this grass in the summer. Hameln blooms two weeks earlier than the species. The bloom color changes to pinkish brown in the fall, with the leaves becoming bright golden yellow to bronze. The flower spikes last until early winter when the foliage turns light beige. Its genus name comes from the Latin penna meaning feather and seta for bristle.

Yes. If, in the rare case your plants are damaged upon arrival, just contact us within 7 days and a full refund or exchange will be issued for those plants.

If I order now, can I delay shipping for sometime in the future?
Sure. After placing your order, just send us an email with your order number and the date you would like your order delivered.
We promise to only send you healthy, well rooted plants. If, in the rare case your plants are damaged upon arrival, or you are not completely satisfied, contact us at hello@thegreenhousepnw.com within 30 days of receiving your order, and we’ll take care of it.
If your plant(s) were damaged on arrival, we will send out replacements to you immediately at no extra charge to you.
If that plant is no longer in stock, or you prefer to not receive a replacement, we will issue full refund for any damaged plants.
In some cases, we may simply request a photo of the damaged plant to verify condition of plant before we process replacement or refund.
