    DESCRIPTION

Little Ruby Fig is a truly compact and cold-hardy fig variety, ideal for containers, small spaces, or patio orchards. Despite its petite size, it delivers abundant, ruby-red, jammy fruit with exceptionally sweet flavor and a vibrant strawberry-red center.

This dwarf fig grows just 3 to 6 feet tall and wide (even in-ground) and often produces heavy fruit sets when still only 3 feet high. It reliably yields both a breba (early summer) crop and the main harvest later in summer through early fall. Little Ruby is remarkably cold-hardy (down to USDA Zone 6 in protected areas), self-fertile, and fruits on new growth, making it resilient even when stems die back during winter.

With its tidy habit, intense fruit quality, and early production—even in cool climates—Little Ruby Fig is an outstanding choice for gardeners wanting gourmet figs in a manageable form.

    Key Features:

    • Small, deep bronze-purple figs with ruby-red flesh; intensely sweet and jammy

    • Produces two crops: early breba and main summer/fall harvest

    • Compact habit: 4–6 ft. tall and wide, suitable for containers or small spaces

    • Fruits readily even when young; high productivity on short trees

    • Cold-hardy to Zone 6; resprouts and fruits on new wood

    • Self-fertile—no pollinator needed

    • Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil

    • Ideal for edible landscapes, patio gardens, and small orchards

    SHIPPING DETAILS

    Shipping Methods

Orders will be shipped via either UPS Ground or FedEx Home Delivery.

Orders are generally in route for 2-5 business days (depending on where you live).

We are sticklers about packaging and shipping your order in a way that guarantees healthy plants upon arrival. If plants are damaged on arrival, just let us know and we'll send you new ones or offer a full refund.

All of our plants are container grown and shipped with the soil and roots fully intact. We DO NOT ship your plants bare-root. Being shipped as a containered plant greatly reduces the risk of the plant not surviving the transit to your home.
