  • Little Princess Spirea, Spiraea japonica 'Little Princess', offers brilliant pink flower heads that nearly envelop its attractive bright green foliage in late spring. Blossoms last through summer and may continue longer with a little-dead heading of spent flowers. After flowers have gone, her foliage turns a lovely bronze for the fall season. Little Princess Spirea will grow 2- 4' tall and makes an exquisite border or foundation plant. She usually fills out to the ground and generally does not need any filler plants grown in front to look clean and perfect. Due to her very hardy nature, she can be planted in the sunny garden bed that gets little extra attention.

  • Shipping Methods

Orders will be shipped via FedEx Home Delivery.

Orders are generally in route for 2-5 business days (depending on where you live).

We are sticklers about packaging and shipping your order in a way that guarantees healthy plants upon arrival. If plants are damaged on arrival, just let us know and we'll send you new ones or offer a full refund.

All of our plants are container grown and shipped with the soil and roots fully intact. We DO NOT ship your plants bare-root. Being shipped as a containered plant greatly reduces the risk of the plant not surviving the transit to your home.

Perfect plants

I live in the south and these plants are next to impossible to find this late in the year. The 5 plants arrived in a box delivered by FedEx and were in perfect shape. I followed the directions to the letter and with a little sun shade they are thriving. I would definitely order again.

Spirea 'Little Princess"

I bought 2 of these plants and they arrived looking great. They were packaged excellent and I have planted them already. I am very pleased and hope to order other items soon.
Thank you!

Not evergreen

I bought 6 last year thinking they were evergreen. Not! They froze and I dug them up. Now I have to start over.

Hi Sue!

I'm so sorry if you were expecting them to be evergreen that must have been a shock. They do go dormant but they spring back to life in the spring time. I hope you found a beautiful place to plant them after digging them up. :)

Still no greenery

Although I know most of the plants in the PNW are still hibernating, many of my plants are perking up starting to have green growth, but have not as yet.
Watching carefully

Hello Amelia,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Was your 3 stars just due to their dormancy or was there something else you weren't pleased with? This is normal for them for the time of year. They are also still dormant here at our nursery as well. :)
If there is ever a question or concern please reach out at hello@thegreenhousepnw.com and we are happy to help!

Mixed bag

I got two spireas ... one is getting new growth all over it, but the second one is still struggling. The second slides is stressed out more but does have a couple of new leaves coming so cross you fingers. Our extremely low humidity and 85-95° temps right now are hard on all plants. My yard has been slow to develop ... it was extremely lacking in all nutrients, but for the first time in almost four years I have EARTHWORMS which is a very good sign indeed. If I can continue to reduce their stress I am sure they will survive the winter.
