DESCRIPTION

Aster 'Woods Light Blue' is a fall blooming aster showing small daisy like light blue blooms in late summer & into fall. This variety is low growing with flowers on short stalks.

'Wood's' selections have shown excellent resistance to mildew and rust. Asters are beautiful companion plants with grasses and are easy to grow. Would be beautiful in mass plantings for a cut garden, planted in pots or along a border and is a great addition to your pollinator garden as asters attract butterflies.

Aster 'Woods Light Blue' is a full sun plant and grows up to 16 inches high, 20 wide and does well in zones 3-8.

Arrived so well packed. I purchase a lot of mail order plants and I’ve never seen any packed in this way, but it was brilliant. My asters were in excellent condition and excited to be planted. I will purchase here again.

Greatest of all time and here’s why:

1. They arrived incredibly healthy. Why is this additionally impressive? I live in Boston, and these babies spent approximately 8 whole days crossing the country only to arrive in conditions as if they shipped overnight from down the street. I’ve spent a lot of time and money researching and buying from other nurseries with tragic results. Safe to say I don’t think I’ll shop anywhere else again.

2. I followed the acclimation instructions and even took a few extra days in shade/indirect light. A week after they arrived, I moved, and they survived a short transit and relocation…and they haven’t been repotted yet but they still are doing very well.

3. They’re beautiful. Arrived with some flowers intact and plenty of buds. I imagine when I repot them they’ll only thrive more.

Waiting for blooming time!

The plants were healthy even though they traveled a long distance! Planted immediately and are growing! Not sure if they will bloom this fall but can’t wait until the purple asters bloom and attract the monarchs!
