It's low spreading habit, enlivens a sunny border and is an easy, colorful fill for an any garden bed. Verbena 'Homestead Purple' is a North American native that attracts butterflies and can naturalize your landscape seamlessly. But don't feel badly if your climate is too cold, this reliable bloomer is used as a northern annual too!

  • Shipping Methods

Orders will be shipped via FedEx Home Delivery.

Orders are generally in route for 2-5 business days (depending on where you live).

We are sticklers about packaging and shipping your order in a way that guarantees healthy plants upon arrival. If plants are damaged on arrival, just let us know and we'll send you new ones or offer a full refund.

All of our plants are container grown and shipped with the soil and roots fully intact. We DO NOT ship your plants bare-root. Being shipped as a containered plant greatly reduces the risk of the plant not surviving the transit to your home.

Too early to tell!

Just received a week or so ago. Planted it in a pot using the “root food” as directed. Anxiously waiting for results.

Lousy shape !

Don’t know why I ordered from you again as my last purchase included one at at deaths door - succumbed a day later - and the other is still struggling - guess I’m the “dope” !

I am so sorry to hear this, Susan. We never got an email letting us know there was an issue or we would have sent replacements. I'm emailing you now. Please reach out anytime there is a question or concern to hello@thegreenhousepnw.com! :)

Verbena Time

My Verbena Homestead Purple got here in very good condition considering it was 101 degrees. Got them out of the box and watered and on the shade and they peeled up the next day.

Sent to me too early to plant

Still waiting for the last freeze before planting.
Trying to keep them alive til then!

Hi Becky,

We began shipping to zones 7 and up on March 1st. I'm sorry if you didn't see our shipping schedule and it's delivery came as a surprise. It looks like you are a zone 8 and this should have been perfect time for it. With day time 70's and night time 40's you are just fine to plant now. A single frost in the future shouldn't be an issue at all. :) If you get freak weather that dips into the 20's you'll just want to set a paper bag or pot over it to keep the frost off during that night. :) The best thing for them is to be planted outside now. If you ever have any questions or concerns please reach out to hello@thegreenhousepnw.com and we are happy to help!
