DESCRIPTION
Alice Christenson is a refined French lilac selection known for its soft pastel blooms and strong, sweet fragrance. In mid-spring, it produces large, upright panicles of double flowers in delicate shades of lavender-pink, often with a silvery sheen that gives the blooms a luminous quality. The layered petals create a full, romantic appearance that stands out beautifully in the landscape and in cut arrangements.
This upright, deciduous shrub grows 8 to 10 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide, forming a dense, well-branched habit over time. Like other common lilacs, it performs best in full sun and well-drained soil, and benefits from pruning shortly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage future bloom.
