Dianthus 'Fire Star' blooms true red with crimson centers, providing an intense display. Growing 8" tall, what this little guy lacks for in height, is only made up for in pizzazz. Its ornamental grey-green foliage is a beautiful addition to any landscape on its own when not in bloom. Dianthus 'Fire Star' is perfect for splashes of lasting color in rock gardens, edging and containers. As with most Dianthus, some easy deadheading will encourage an additional fall bloom.
