DESCRIPTION
With its upright, pyramidal growth habit and rich dark-green fans of foliage, the Leyland Cyprus is a classic ornamental tree. It grows quickly and tolerates most soils, but prefers a moist position. Great as a wind-break, this regal conifer tolerates coastal conditions well. Left to itself, it maintains an elegant form, but it also takes well to pruning. The red-brown, scaly bark adds an extra element of interest to this spectacular and easy-to-grow plant. Create striking foliage contrasts by planting it with gold or silver-leafed trees and shrubs.
