A special selection chosen for its spectacular fall and winter color, Little Bluestem 'Blaze' (Schizachyrium scoparium Blaze) is a proud American native that has something special to offer all year round. Enjoy the slender clumps of green foliage in summer and its bronze blooms followed by fluffy white seed heads in fall. Its foliage takes on a rich, reddish-bronze blaze of color, and it keeps a bronze tinge even when dormant in winter. Leave the dried tuft in place, the seed heads often persist throughout the winter.
