  • Liriope muscari 'Big Blue' adds a wispy and wild-flower like element to the landscape. Wide grass-like blades gracefully arch in tufts of dark green foliage. Late summer brings purple and blue flower spikes that make a splendid groundcover or edging. Growing 1 - 2' tall, Big Blue Liriope can be used in containers or planted as an accent in rock or meadow gardens. This species will naturalize well, but is not native to North America. Easy 'weeding' of naturalized plants will keep it from getting away from you.

Awesome Customer Service

When I wrote my review, I was truly disappointed that eight of my liriopes didn't make it past year one. I had already asked for two refunds and didn't think I should ask for more since the additional ones that died did survive for more than six months to a year. Yet, Kristi reached out and offered to send two plants of my choice to make up for this. I couldn't be happier as I absolutely did not expect that. Plants will live or die, but great customer service is forever!

Maybe Not Great for Sunny Areas

Per my previous review below, I had ordered about ten Big Blue liriopes last year. I planted them in our front yard where it gets full sun from noon till sunset. After a year, only two plants are still alive. The other eight turned yellow over the year and died. On the other hand, all of the ornamental grasses I purchased from the Greenhouse are doing well.

Frances,

I just emailed you! Feel free to reach out with any concerns or questions at hello@thegreenhousepnw.com

Liriope Big Blue

Packaging is a huge feature of The Greenhouse. The draw string that secures the plant ball allowed one of the two plants to survive the trip. Both plants are doing well; looking forward to blooms next spring.

Another Great Purchase

Received the Liriope Big Blue in a very timely manner and, once again, very well packaged. It's been in the ground for over a week now and seems to be doing well.
