Blueberry 'Top Hat'

  • 100% money-back guarantee
  • Free shipping on all orders over

PLEASE NOTE: Plants shipped in winter and early spring may arrive dormant. Deciduous perennials lose their leaves or foliage during winter and may appear "lifeless", but will burst out with new growth in spring!

Blueberry 'Top Hat' is perfect for those who desire an edible garden, but are limited on space. White, spring-time flowers give way to delicious (and gorgeous!) summer fruit. The compact habit of Blueberry 'Top Hat' rarely grows larger than 2' high and wide, making it ideal for container gardening and even makes an edible bonsai! But, don't let its small size stop you from planting in mass, where brilliant fall foliage will provide a pleasing autumn scene within a garden bed.

Shipping Methods

Orders will be shipped via FedEx Home Delivery.

Orders are generally in route for 2-5 business days (depending on where you live).

We are sticklers about packaging and shipping your order in a way that guarantees healthy plants upon arrival. If plants are damaged on arrival, just let us know and we'll send you new ones or offer a full refund.

All of our plants are container grown and shipped with the soil and roots fully intact. We DO NOT ship your plants bare-root. Being shipped as a containered plant greatly reduces the risk of the plant not surviving the transit to your home.

I'll know more next year

The plants arrived well packed. We waited a few days for them to get acclimated and then got them planted. So far so good, but we'll really know more next season. So far they are thriving and doing well.
Thanks

Top Hap Blue Berry bush

I received my Top Hat blue berry bushes this weekend and after letting them set out for a day I moved them to the garden spot I had chosen for them. The arrived in perfect shape and the box they came is was strong and kept them protected in shipping. The leaves had changed to their fall colors and were a beautiful mix of red and yellow with a little bit of green left. I followed all the directions in planting and I'm looking forward to watching them grow.

My Top Hat (Dwarf) Blueberry Bush arrived cross country in really great shape with lots of baby berries. I had searched the web endlessly for a dwarf one that was more mature and that is just what I got. The bush received was not super dense in growth, but looked very healthy and robust and measured 18" high above soil and has now relaxed and spread out to almost 18" wide.
Our weather has been crazy her ranging between 85° and 33° thru late May here in The Finger Lakes of western NY, so I've been moving it around a bit for best conditions. Unfortunately, I found no instructions with the plant, so I took suggestions from the internet. I planted it in a large wheeled planter pot of good soil, added some peat and also mixed some sand for drainage. It is now getting blossoms and it seems pretty happy after its first of occasional watering cans of Miracid water. All my neighbors are fascinated to see how it works out. THANKS so much! Will highly recommend your nursery.
