Rigoletto Maiden Grass

A symphony in green, white and bronze' is the best way to describe Rigoletto Maiden Grass (Miscanthus sinensis Rigoletto). The green leaves are striped with white markings, and as if that weren't enough to please, the bronze flowers that later turn into white plumes are the icing on the cake. Use them in flower arrangements, either fresh or dried. These trouble-free plants will go dormant in winter, but maintain their form and their plumes, so leave them in place over winter, only cutting back the old leaves after the frosts have passed.
