Lavender 'Lavance Purple'

One might think it impossible to improve on Lavender, but Lavender 'Lavance Purple' (Lavandula angustifolia Lavance) is lavender with a remarkable difference. Instead of having the usual lavender-colored blooms, this plant has intense, deep purple flowers that really stand out against the silver-green foliage. Its tidy, compact growth habit makes it ideal for pots, as edging for beds, or for those with smaller gardens. Of course, you still get all the aroma that has made lavender a plant we've loved through the ages, and the flowers are great for floral arrangements.
