Blue Eyed Grass, Sisyrinchium 'Lucerne', is pretty and nearly perfect with lavender and blue star-shaped flowers centered in gold. Native to the United States, there is a plethora of reasons to plant this perennial other than for its extremely good looks. Blue Eyed Grass 'Lucerne' will attract butterflies and hummingbirds with its bold flower display during summer. As fall brings on seeds, songbirds will come to dine before a long winter's journey. Growing in bunches to 10" tall, these plants make great borders in meadow gardens or look lovely tucked into rock gardens and small beds.
