DESCRIPTION

Carex comans Amazon Mist is also known as the 'Hair Sedge' or the 'Mop Head Sedge', and the fine leaves really do resemble a pony-tail or fountain sprouting up from the ground before gently curling down towards the ground. The tiny white flowers are insignificant, but add to the overall effect. Delicate though it may look, it's tough enough to survive drought and salt-laden coastal winds. From pots to mass plantings or as a single specimen, this gorgeous grass is an attention-getter without being an attention seeker.
