  • Heath 'Furzey', Erica x darleyensis 'Furzey', will put on a colorful winter show like few other plants can do. Profuse, rosy, bell shaped flowers arise in late winter and add an untimely, yet welcome touch of spring to the landscape. Often the needle-like foliage of this small and tidy shrub will offer a bronze hue after done blooming. As late spring approaches and flowers fade, Heather 'Furzey' will adopt pleasing bronze/green foliage for the rest of the season. This plant is a great option for rock gardens and sloping conditions. It is tough enough for coastal regions and makes the biggest impact when planted in mass as a gorgeous groundcover.

Perfect!

My three heath plants arrived in perfect health! I followed the post-shipping instructions, and they have been in the ground for a couple weeks now. They're still doing well, and anything that goes wrong at this point will be planter's error. ;-)

they arrived in great shape and happily living ever after now

Just as the title says, they were in great shape and there was no problem for them to settle down at my place.

Root Bound

I don’t know how to rate my plants yet. Placing my order and receiving the shipment went smoothly. As everyone comments, the plants were safely packed - that was impressive. When removing the plants from their plastic pots in preparation to putting them into the ground, I was stunned to find the most root-bound plants I’ve ever seen. They looked as if they were wearing thick camel hair coats. Fortunately, the weather has cooled considerably, perhaps giving the plants a chance to take root without wilting. Remains to be seen.

Nice plant

These are a nice size plant. First time buying online. Waiting for turf then I can plant them

Still on the fence

Ordered several during late spring, early summer. Some of them had significant dry/brittle branches so I planted them right away with bio-tone + a mix of outdoor potting soil and regular soil. Been babying them with water soakings but there are still good sized sections of dry. Fingers crossed that these recover but they just don't seem to be doing as well as hoped.

Additional info: these are on a side hill with great drainage, poor soil, LOTS of sun and with other types of heaths that are doing better (Kramer's Red, Darleydale). Total plus is how these were packed and shipped - AWESOME! I've never received such well cared for plant packing.

Well, the shrub is struggling it requires more attention then I can say. If you can replace it, it might be a better answer to my problem. I would love it to flower and live. Can you help??

Thanks for taking time to leave a review! I sent you an email. This is past it's blooming window so it wont be giving you it's lovely blooms until this following winter. If there is ever a question or concern please reach out to hello@thegreenhousepnw.com and we are happy to help!

Plants took over a week in transit. Scheduled to arrive on a Saturday but weren’t delivered until following Tuesday. Shipper issues. Plants looked stressed when finally arrived but we set them out in the shade and watered them well when they arrived. Planted the next day and they are looking better now. Plants are great but shipping from Oregon to Indiana may be a stretch
