DESCRIPTION
Rhododendron 'Minnetonka' is a broad leaf evergreen with full and ruffled lavender blooms. Deep red buds appear in early spring and give way to an abundance of magnificent purple flowers later that season. The dark green, glossy foliage makes an attractive, mounded shrub throughout the year. Due to its size and year-round attributes, Rhododendron 'Minnetonka' makes and excellent foundation plant or accent species when grouped in a garden bed or border. It can tolerate full to part sun and various soil conditions, but will benefit greatly from added peat moss or compost upon planting.
