    DESCRIPTION

Boreal Blizzard is a large-fruited honeyberry variety developed at the University of Saskatchewan, known for its exceptional berry size and rich flavor. The elongated, powder-blue berries are noticeably larger than most honeyberries and have a sweet, mild taste with hints of blueberry and raspberry. Fruit ripens in early summer and is excellent for fresh eating, baking, or preserves.

This deciduous shrub grows about 5 to 6 feet tall and wide with an upright, slightly spreading habit. It is extremely cold-hardy and thrives in northern climates where many other fruiting plants struggle. Boreal Blizzard requires another compatible honeyberry variety for pollination, such as Boreal Beauty or Boreal Beast, to produce the best yields.

    Key Features:

    • Exceptionally large, elongated blue berries

    • Sweet, mild flavor with hints of blueberry and raspberry

    • Early summer harvest

    • Upright shrub: 5–6 ft. tall and wide

    • Extremely cold-hardy and reliable

    • Requires a second honeyberry variety for pollination

    • Thrives in full sun to part shade and well-drained soil

    • Hardy in USDA Zones 2–7

Boreal Blizzard Honeyberry stands out for its impressive fruit size and dependable production—an excellent choice for gardeners looking to grow unique, cold-hardy berries.

    SHIPPING DETAILS

    Shipping Methods

Orders will be shipped via FedEx Home Delivery.

Orders are generally in route for 2-5 business days (depending on where you live).

We are sticklers about packaging and shipping your order in a way that guarantees healthy plants upon arrival. If plants are damaged on arrival, just let us know and we'll send you new ones or offer a full refund.

All of our plants are container grown and shipped with the soil and roots fully intact. We DO NOT ship your plants bare-root. Being shipped as a containered plant greatly reduces the risk of the plant not surviving the transit to your home.
