Cotoneaster Parneyi

The cotoneasters came very well packaged and very healthy. We probably will be purchasing some small bushes to add to an area that we are redoing.

We ordered a cotoneaster parneyi from The Greenhouse last month, mainly because no local nurseries had one. It arrived in 2 days (it didn't have to travel very far, actually) in perfect condition, packed securely in a box designed especially for mailing plants. Had to delay planting for ten days but watered it regularly in a partial sun/shade. Put it in the ground two days ago and it looks great.

If I had to nit-pick a con, it would be the clear tape used to seal the bag at the stem base. It was only a bit annoying to have to cut through, being careful not to cut the stem. Several pieces were used and went in different directions. Other mail-order plants I've received recently had a single draw string around the top of the bag, much simpler, quicker and safer to open. Not much of a con, really.

The cotoneaster arrived in great condition.
Followed the planting instructions and it looks great and thriving.

Everything looks great

This was the first time I ordered from the Greenhouse and I was impressed on every aspect of the experience. First of all, the plant I ordered was much larger and more mature than my experiences with other mail order nurseries. The plant was well packaged for shipping and arrived very quickly. No dirt was disturbed and the plant looked fresh and soil was still moist. It has been doing well even with high dry temps. Will definitely be ordering again!
