    DESCRIPTION

Top Brass is a distinctive, late-season peony known for its unusual, layered blooms and multi-toned color. The large, fully double flowers feature creamy white outer guard petals that surround a center filled with ruffled yellow and soft pink staminodes, creating a unique, tufted look. Each bloom has a delicate fragrance and a charming, textured appearance that stands out in both the garden and floral arrangements.

Plants reach 32 to 36 inches tall with a sturdy, upright habit and rich green foliage. The strong stems hold the heavy blooms well, though some support may be helpful during peak bloom or in windy conditions. Top Brass is a reliable and long-lived perennial that performs best in full sun and well-drained soil.

    Key Features:

    • Large, double blooms with creamy white petals and yellow-pink centers

    • Unique flower form with layered, tufted texture

    • Late-season bloomer

    • Lightly fragrant

    • Great for cutting and distinctive floral displays

Peony ‘Top Brass’ brings a touch of the unexpected to the spring garden—ideal for gardeners seeking something a little different in a classic peony form.

    FALL PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS

    1.  Dig a hole about 12" wide and 12" deep.

    2.  Create a mound of soil in the center of the hole.

    3.  Position the root so that the eyes (buds) face upward and are 1–2 inches below the soil surface (no deeper!).

    4.  Backfill gently, firming soil around the root.
